Who We Are

The Bertram Volunteer Fire Department’s Mission is to be a leading emergency services organization dedicated to protection of life and property, serving our community with fire prevention, fire suppression, and rescue skills, giving top priority to fire fighter safety and environmental concerns, in a professional manner.

DEPARTMENT GOALS

1.         Provide the most effective fire and rescue services possible for the citizens and visitors of the City of Bertram, Bertram Fire District, and Burnet County.

2.         Provide City of Bertram, Bertram Fire District, and Burnet County public safety field personnel with professional fire and rescue services with emphasis on safety, accuracy and cooperation.

3.         Provide good working conditions to competent people.

4.         Establish a relevant and effective training program.

5.          Maintain professional standards.

6.         Assist other Cities, County Departments and outside agencies whenever possible.

7.         Be innovative.

8.         Help Support our community, Citizens and visitors by being CPR, AED and Basic First Aid Certified for assisting our Emergency Medical Services.
