Fish Fry
-
We would like to take this time to inform you
that on April 5th 2008, we will be having our annual fish
fry. We will be holding this event in our New Fire Hall located at 163
W. Vaughan St, across from City Hall. Come by and see us. Everyone is
welcome. We will have dining arrangements inside for those that choose
to stay and visit as well as a take out line for those who have other
plans or maybe someone that cannot be with us.
July 4th Fireworks Display
-
Each year on or near the 4th of July, the Bertram Volunteer Fire Department
, along with some financial assistance from local businesses and
citizens, puts on one of the areas best firework displays. Located at
the Baseball fields in Bertram, along with concessions from the Snack bar,
it's an evening that's unforgettable for both young and old.
Oatmeal Festival
-
Held on Labor Day Weekend, the Oatmeal Festival is one of
Central Texas Favorite events. Starting in Oatmeal Texas, 5 miles
south of Bertram, on Friday night, the fun starts with all types of
Beauty Contests. On Saturday, moving into the city of Bertram, the day
continues with a parade, all types of fun and games, a barbeque
lunch, all sorts of crafts, and ends with a street dance.
Bertram Halloween
-
Every Halloween local downtown businesses set up fun, games,
and treats, for the kids. The city blocks off part of Vaughn Street
(in front of the businesses), to help make this a safe event for
everyone.
Old Time Christmas for Children
-
Of course it just wouldn't be Christmas in Bertram, without a
visit from the Jolly Old Elf Himself. That's right, you heard it from
us first, the big guy, S. C., Santa Claus, here, in person! You
wouldn't want to miss that!
